Relieve

 mouth pains

First (do) establish the cause of the pain:

=> A cavity  ☞ dentist (prevent him from pulling out the tooth).

=> An abscess☆ (confirmed by a swollen lymph node under the jaw, abscess side)
:

    (allow at least 4 days for the pain and swelling to subside):

    To soothe the pain:

    The clove (flower bud of the clove tree, can be bought in the spice section):

    Place 1-2 nails between the tooth and the gum and let the saliva diffuse the active ingredients (clove has antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties).

    To treat the subcutaneous infection:

    Hot water: using a cotton swab, dab the swelling with hot water (simmering), barely bearable.
    To be repeated 3 -4 times a day.

    Garlic: wedge a slice of fresh garlic between the abscess and the cheek and leave to act.

    Tea-tree: Moisten your finger two or three times with Tea-tree essential oil and pass it over the swelling, several times a day. Only spit after 5 minutes.

    • Regularly apply clay paste. Clay has healing, disinfectant and soothing properties.

    • Make mouthwash 2-3 times a day, leaving it to act for 5 minutes, with pharmacy products.

    ✱ After abscess :
    Use (gently and no more than once/day) floss where your teeth are slightly apart.

=> Inflammation of the gums:

    Gingivitis (redness, swelling, irritation and/or bleeding of the gums) is caused by dental plaque. Not necessarily painful, it is however essential to treat it because it can cause teeth to become loose.

    ✱ After each meal, gently massage the gums for a long time :
      . either with a finger moistened with Tea-tree essential oil (very effective but persevere for a few days)
      . either with gingival paste.

    ✱ Invest in a dental water flosser (diffuse jet or multi-jet). This modern means ensures excellent oral hygiene and a good way to strengthen the gums.
    Fill it with warm water and add a few drops of white vinegar to remove scale.
    Massage the gums with the gentle jet for 2 real minutes. Start at reduced power (reduce to the point of no bleeding or pain).

    ✱ Massage the outside of the cheek with a drop of wintergreen (it's a powerful anti-inflammatory, but give it half an hour to take effect).

=> Diffuse pain (often one side of the face):

    The pain can be severe but it must be distinguished from an infection otherwise you will take antibiotics unnecessarily, or even have a healthy tooth pulled out.
    The first thing that distinguishes them is that several teeth seem to be involved.
    The second is a simple anti-inflammatory, or even Aspirin can get rid of it.
=> Canker sores:

    ✱ Clay: Apply, regularly during the day and before going to bed, clay paste. For a large canker sore☆Personal experience:
    I had a never-ending canker sore, and I noticed that the wound on my cheek reproduced the edge of a molar (not even sharp).
    It took me months to make the connection with my way to sleep! When sleeping on my stomach, I would crush my cheek for hours on my tooth!
    , allow one or two weeks before lowering the frequency to 2-3 times/day. Leave on for ~30 minutes without drinking.

    ✱ Tea-tree: Moisten your finger with Tea-tree essential oil and pass it on the inside of your cheek, once or twice times, several times/day. You will want to spit, don't do it. Keep the product in your mouth for a while.

=> Bad breath: (halitosis)

    ✱ With a small teaspoon (save it for this use) remove the whitish layer deposited on your tongue.

    But often bad breath comes from the stomach (heavy digestion, stress, worries). If it is not actually due to your oral hygiene and you feel a heaviness in your stomach:

    ✱ Try this "potion": in a small bottle filled with ~20cl of water, pour 2 level spoonfuls of clay and 1 spoonful of bicarbonate. Shake, it's ready. Drink it regularly (if only because you need to drink regularly to avoid dry mouth).

    ✱ Keep a clove (purchase in the spice section) in the mouth for several minutes (also encourages salivation). Note that, stored in a small box, this nail is effective for a whole week.

    But how can you tell if you've got bad breath?
    Difficult, but if you're under stress, if you have a pasty mouth, don't hesitate: take along the little bottle of "potion" and/or a clove in its little box.
